Summary:The theme for this issue is Collaboration Challenges: Bridging the IT Support Gap. I would like to thank John T. Nosek, Professor of Computer & Information Sciences at Temple University, and Margaret McManus, Associate Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at La Salle University, for serving as Guest Editors. John’s research interests focus on the development of collaborative theories and theory-based technology that will improve anytime, anyplace collaborative work by better managing the social, cognitive, and procedural complexities inherent in joint effort. He has published widely on a broad range of information technology topics, including seminal work in pair programming. For over a decade, his main interest has been exploring ways to accelerate organizational success by transforming collaborative work. He is Senior Editor of the Information Systems Management journal, Associate Editor of the International Journal of e-Collaboration, and Associate Editor of the Advances in E-Collaboration (AECOB) Book Series. Margaret’s research is in the areas of computer supported collaborative learning and strategic planning for academic uses of information technology. Her research interests are applied in her extensive teaching experience, specializing in courses in collaborative technologies, networking concepts, graphical user interface programming, databases, and computer literacy. She served in a variety of positions at La Salle University, including Interim Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies, Director of the M.S. in Computer Information Science program, and Director of the M.S. in Information Technology Leadership program.
