Martin noted aspecial meeting of the Club's Board of Directors meeting arranged for following day to make arrangements for the reception for Monsignore Straniero and Count Muccioli. The letter may be a carbon copy.  According to The Philadelphia City Directory for 1890, published by James Gopsill's Sons, Simon J. Martin was the secretary for the Mechanics' Insurance Company of Philadelphia.
