Emblem, centered top on invitation, is a shield with cross, topped a cross. Ribbon banner below with motto "per fidem libertas" The affair was "on Friday evening, the 18th inst., from 8:30 to 10:30 o'clock to meet" At bottom of card in caps and bolded "Rear Admiral Vignes and Officers of the 'Minerve'"  Archbishop Patrick Ryan met the Rear Admiral that evening.
