Published General Court Martial Orders from August, 1870. General Court Martial Orders No. 47 were the charges against 1st Lieutenant Erwin Seeley, U. S. Artillery, in May, 1870; the Court found him guilty and he was to be cashiered and forfeit all pay and allowances, and now and future, and "have his name, crime, and place of abode and punishment in the newspapers of Washington, D.C., and the State of Ohio."
