Published General Court Martial Orders between July 26, 1870 and August 16, 1870.  Handwritten note on last page, "Sir," by unknown, requested transfer to the Department of California.
 
General Court Martial Orders No. 43 were the charges against 2nd Lieutenant Martin L. Brandt, U. S. Army, in June 1870; the Court found him guilty and he was to be cashiered and dismissed from the service. General Court Martial Orders No. 44 were the charges against Captain Charles C. Cox, 10th U. S. Cavalry; the Court found him guilty and he was to be dismissed and cashiered, fined $500 and 3 year sentence in a penitentiary. General Court Martial Orders No. 46 were the charges against Captain George W. Graham, 10th U.S. Cavalry, in April 1870; the Court found him guilty and he was to be cashiered and dismissed, fined $500 and 2 year sentence in a penitentiary.

Convened at West Point, New York, General Court Martial Orders No. 45 were the charges against the following individuals:  Private John McCarthy, U. S. Military Academy Detachment of Artillery, in July, 1870; the Court found him guilty and he was confined to hard labor for a 2 month without pay.  Sergeant Owen O'Connor, U. S. Military Academy Detachment of Cavalry, in July, 1870; the Court found him guilty and he reduced in rank and forfeited 3 months without pay. Private John Gavin, Detachment, Battalion of Engineers, U.S. Army, in July, 1870; the Court found him guilty and fined him. Private Patrick O'Loughlan, U. S. Military Academy Detachment of Cavalry, in July, 1870; the Court found him guilty, on only one of 2 counts, and fined him.
