Envelope and typescript letter, To: "Dear Mother and Dad" From: "Jimmy," January 6, 1945.

Left corner of the last page was cut away.  Air Mail Envelope. Circular black stamp at bottom of envelope front, "Passed by Naval Censor" Circular postmark black stamp,  "US Navy Jan 6 194" with the year indecipherable. Envelope return address cut out. Penciled on envelope, front, "1945" and on envelope, back,  "Jan 12" Envelope's stamp cut out. Envelope damaged near return address: "U.S.S. Fulton, Div. 8 R/R, C/P Fleet Post Office, San Francisco, Calif."

Author wrote humorously where he was and noted, " . . . no matter what way I go now I'll be getting closer to home. Sounds good, huh? . . ."
