OM D70.3 .S538 1918 [92 leaves] : ill., photographs ; 19 x 29 cm. Commercial album bound in brown covers with the title "My Memory Book" printed on front cover. This scrapbook contains numerous photographs depicting candid scenes and portraits as well as combat scenes. There are photographs of several different types of tanks, including American, British, and German. The scrapbook also includes references to various U.S. Infantry Divisions, including the "Red Arrow Division" (32nd Infantry Division of the National Guard, who were the first allied division to pierce the German Hindenburg Line of defense. Also included are several photographs of Kaiser Wilhelm II and German troops. There is also a scrap of canvas from the plane of Quentin Roosevelt, youngest son of President Theodore Roosevelt, and a photograph of Roosevelt's fatal crash. The last 32 photographs in the scrapbook are official photo pages from the U.S. Signal Corps. Cataloger-constructed title from contents. Includes: postcards, photographs, news clippings, and a typescript history of the movements of "Company K, 4th Wis. Infantry, National Guards."
