SMITH IV-7. 1 map - hand-colored, 71 x 69 cm. The map is based upon de L'Isle's landmark map of 1700. While California has not actually been attached to the mainland, it is clearly now present in its peninsular format. The tracks of a number of explorer routes are shown along the west coast.
