Bethlehem Steel Company Collection

This collection contains historical information about Bethlehem Steel, Bethlehem Shipbuilding, Fore River Shipbuilders, and Charles Schwab from 1915 to 1959. Of note are several sets of employee magazines from 1915 through the end of the WWI. these magazines are rich in political propaganda in support of the War and information that documents the lifestyle of the plant workers during the early 1900s. Employee magazines include: Bethlehem Steel, Bethlehem Booster, The Fore River Log, and the Unidock (1931).

Also included are several published histories regarding the development of the Bethlehem Steel Co., its properties and plants, along with two detailed biographies on Charles M. Schwab.

Ephemera and advertising for Bethlehem Steel during the 1940s and 1950s, along with a few pieces of ephemera from United Dry Dock and the Morse Dry Dock, both eventually purchased by Bethlehem Steel complete the collection.
