The following revised lists of distances, compiled from the latest inform- ation on file in the Quartermaster General’s Otlice, having been approved by the Secretary of lVar, May 7, 1870, in accordance with the provisions of General Orders No. 74, Adjutant General’s Olliee, August 3, 1867, are published for the information and government of all concerned, and are hereby substituted for those published in “ General Orders No. 27, Quartermaster General’s Ollice,” series 1868. In their compilation, the repetition of distances has been avoided, as far as practicable, by taking advantage of the alphabetical arrangement of the termini between which they are computed.
