OM D501 .W565 1898 Army Form D 426 Parchment Certificates of Discharge: in May 1906, for transfer to 1st Class Army Reserve, on payment under Royal Warrant 1288B, in Victoria British Columbia ; in and August, 1910, from Chatham which indicated Walter received a 1st Class Certificate of Education.The documents reveal that Frederick William Walter was born in Burford, Oxon, England, joined the Royal Engineers in August, 1898, and served in British Columbia, Canada.
