    Includes: An "Extract from Orders by Colonel H.W. Gordon, D.S.O. Commanding Reserve Training Centre, Royal Engineers", Wednesday, 10th September 1919 naming a promotion to Lieut. F.W. Walter, R.E.; Month State of The Accounts Book; Discharge Certificate; Six postally used real photo postcards, five of which are World War I military postcards dated 1916 showing the Royal Engineers at Buxton. Some are written by Fred Walter and family members. One postcard is titled "Engineeers Trenching at Buxton".

    Several letters to, or about, Edward Canfield, an upstate New York baseball player, killed in action during World World One. A 1914 letter congratulates Ed on the 1st League win for Poughkeepsie over the Mohawk Giants; other letters from 1918 are Ed's family trying to find out if he was killed or wounded. Ed was killed September 27th, 1918 in fighting in France at the Somme.
