5 This story was submitted in response to an offer of $500 and $250 prizes for the
. best ones, and one hundred and sixteen manuscripts were sent in, from which
“Sought and Saved” was unanimously selected as being entitled to the first prize of
3500, and “Lionel Franklin’s Victory” as the ono entitled to the second prize of $250.
“Sought and Saved” is in No. 111 of The People’s Library, and is sold by all news-
dealers for 20 cents. These two prize stories, and two others which received supple-
mentary prizes, will appear in cheap form exclusively in The People’s Library, and
will be Inown as the 8500 Prize Series. The one which received the third vrize is
issued in No. 125 of The People’s Library, nnd is for sale by all newsdealers and
booksellers for 20 cents, or it will be mailed to any address, (postpaid, on receipt of
25 cents by the publishers. .
