ELECTRIC LIGHT BATH.
THE electric light bath is one of the latest luxuries to coin-
inand the attention iii the wt-nltlly.
The bath consists of a cubllitt, which may be built for sit-
ting or lying in. The square cabinet occiipies comparatively
little space, and may sulull in one corner of the bathroom. '
Tile oblong cnbiliut tulcs up cnlisiclerablc rnolu, but it is
preferable to the squuiccuc, as the occupant can lie at full
length and relax coiiifurlzilily.
One hundred iilCtIlltlL‘>Cl3llt electric light bulbs, each six-
tccii candle power, line the interior of the cahiiict. Spaces
are left between for btwelell mirrors and reflectors, so that
thousands oi rays nrc iiililtiplztd and focused uu ilic occupant
of the cabinet. Thoc din-ct and reflected rays, argue the exr
ponents of the new bzlill, are (‘nllcelllraicd on the body mid
penetrate into the llt-t-pt-st tissues, thereby stiiuulutiug all the
viull forces.
The oblong Ca‘Jill(". has a sliding table on rollers, which is
pulled out tor the lmtlicr to lie on. This is padded, liasa
sheet on it and a pillow. After the bzllllcr is ill position, an
nttendzlnt ruslivs tllc "table" into the cabinet, leaving the
head outside. This eizrllilcs the bzither to ilillailc fresh air.
coiistaliily. l
It is not absolutely iwccss ry to have assislliiice in taking
the bath, for a clever pct-soil can ulauipuluie the electric but-
tolls before entering the ltiuct, and iii the case of the oblong
one he can enter by the zillcriure, taking extra care not to hit
tllc holly against the bulbs, However, it is inure couitortalilei‘
to have solneone assist ill the process, turning the lights on
grcltluztlly intil the llzttlicr pcrspires free y.
