A.Fair. Head, or as it is generally and more properly
denominated Benmore, 2'. e. the Great Head, is incor- ‘

Ptolemy. It is not the most northern point of Ireland,
which certainly jvas what Ptolemy meant to designate
bythis name, nor is it so called in any copy whatever of
Ptolemy’s map,‘ The name Bhobogdium is evidently and
unequivocally attributed‘ in the ancient map of this
geographer ‘to>Malin Head, orlnisliowen Head.
