Molly Maguires
This collection contains rare manuscripts and pamphlets about the Molly Maguires, a secret Irish organization that was organized in the coal regions of Pennsylvania. Labor disputes, strikes, and violence combined together in an explosive mix. The result was the arrest, trial, and execution of a number of accused members of this organization.These materials are owned by the American Catholic Historical Society and maintained at the Catholic Historical Research Center of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CHRC) 6740 Roosevelt Blvd., Philadelphia , PA 19149.
