My dear Mr. MoGarrity,
Knowing your keen interest in the cause of the
independence of Ireland, which is but a necessary corollary to the
ultimate destruction of British imperialism, we take the liberty
of addressing you on behalf of the people of India,
Our organization stands for the absolute indepen-
dence of India - for the freedom of 315 millions of people. We be-
lieve that India will play a great part in any program for the disin-
tegration of the British empire, and for the freedom of millions to-
day held in subjection. Therefore we come to you for your moral and
material support in our efforts to spread the cause of Free Indiu,
We respectfully request you to use your great in-
fluence among your friends and acquaintances and with those sympa-
thetic organizations with which you may be in touch, to see that
wo are given the opportunity to speak before them on behalf of the
independence of India. Also that we receive moral and material
support from them to keep. cur organization going.
