This collection contains materials published in Pennsylvania dealing with Pennsylvania history, biography of notable Pennsylvanians, Pennsylvania organizations and geography; and personal paper sub-collections including correspondence and ephemera of Pennsylvanians involved in the development of shorthand, in the American Civil War, and in Philadelphia's Main Line history.   Digitization Status: Ongoing.

Humbert
This is the personal paper collection of Augustus Humbert which includes correspondence and orders related to the hunt for the assassin of President Lincoln - John Wilkes Booth - and the failed assassin of Secretary of State Seward - Lewis Payne; Confederate States of America currency; and his Pennsylvania  Officer's State Militia certificate.  Collection Digitally Donated by Marie Humbert.  Digitization Status: Project Completed.
 
Lloyd
This is the collection of the Lloyd family papers and donations to Villanova including correspondence,  deeds, receipts, newspaper clippings.  Of particular value are the papers of Thomas Lloyd know as the "Father of United States Shorthand," and the donated photographs of Eamon de Valera, first President of the Republic of Ireland.  Items from the Shea family and Rudolph family, both linked to the Lloyd family, are also included.  The Shea family owned land that Villanova would come to occupy in that Main Line Philadelphia area, later known as Villanova.
