It is very efeaual againii all the Difeafes afore-
mentioned, but it cannot have the Strength of the
Juice, for which Reafon it is to be given in greater
quantities, as from three to fix Ounces, fweetned
with double-rehned Sugarhand the oftner to be re-
peated, as three or four titnes a Day, as the Phyli-
cian (hall fee lit. 4 Outwardly applied, it’ cools all
forts of Iniiammations, is good againil Amhariier-
fire, eafes Pain proceeding from Heat, as Head-a511,
Megrim, Gout, 8'6. and is much commended a-.
gainli‘Lentils, Freckles, Sun-burning, Tanning, Yel-
lownefs of the Face, black and blew Spots, Scurff,
- Morphew, or other Defoedations of the Skin, being
applied three or four times :rD‘ay or more : ,but it
will be mhch more powerful, if it is mixed in equal -
quantities with the liquid Juice of the Root.
