and churliihly both 'nptvatds and downwards, eat;
pelling ‘mnch vifcons and grofs Hegm, alfo Choler,
and'watery‘Hutnors, for which reaion it is profita-
ble for fuch as are troubled with a Sarcitcr, ot
Dropfie Aan-ra, as alfo the Afa'm- or Tympani!“
in beginning, and for fnch as are affecled with the
Gout or Sciatica, it cures both Tertian and Quar-
tah Agnes, and kills Worms in the Belly, whether
in Old or Young, .bur by reafon of its churliflmefs'
it ought to be'correE’ted with Anifeeds, Caraways,
Cloves, Cinnamon, (it, Dole halfa Spoonful, in-
crealing it according to Age and Strength gradually
; to two, three, or four Spoonfuls, it may be given.

XI. The Efanu. It has all the Virtues of the
‘ former, bnt'nothing near ('0 churlilh, but ought to
. be correE’ted with Powers of Angelica, Pennyroyal,
t Anifeeds, CaravVays,‘,E>‘c. it..cutes Quotidian and
VTertian Agnes, opens obiiruElions of Liver and
Spleen, refills putriiaclion, kills Worms, and. eva-
cuate: peccant Humors the Dofe is the lime with
the‘ Liquid Juice, an to be given in the lame
manner. ' -
XII. The Dcwflian or Infunan in Water or Wine.
It has all the Virtues of the Juice and Ell'ence, but
is to be given in a greater quantity, it clmnfes the
Stomach and other Vihcera, opening their obllrtifli-
ons, it alfo induces‘old running Seres and. filthy U1-
cers to a fpeedy healing, it works both upwards
and downwards, but tnuch more gently than either
Juice or Eilence. ,
XIII. The Ponder. It has all‘the Virtues of Li-
puid Juice, Effence, or DecoElion, but operates not
0 fpeedily, it kills Worms efleElnally in ’Old or
Young, and prevails wonderfully againlt the Scurvy
’ and Jaundice, as alfo obllrnElions of the Womb, but
it ought to be corrected-with Camphir,‘ Ponder of
Anifeeds, Ur. Dofe from a Scruple to a Dram, or
more, according to the Age of the Patient, Strength,
and other 'Circnmliances, outwardly elitewed upon.

XIV. The Exirall. It may be made into Pills
with Ponders of Anifeed, or Cinnamon, Cameran'u:
commends it not only to be available againil the
Dropiie, but againlt all forts of'Agues, and f0 much
the more if a little of the Infpiilate Juice of Calax
mint be‘added, it has all the Virtues of Juice, Ef-
fence, DecoEtion, and Ponder, but works with much
more fafety and gentlenei‘s. Dofe from a Seruplcv
to a Dram in any fit Vehicle. -
XV. The Balfam or Ointment. It is excellent
good againfi the Gout or Sciatica being applied to
the parts affected, it alfo digelis green Wounds, or
malign Ulcers, cleanfes, dries-and hells them in a
very ihort time, but this more ef ecially if the pone
der of Tobacco, be mixed with t e fame. ,
