fuch as have the Yellow Jaundice, safes the Headach
which comes of heat, attemperates the calidiry of
Stomach and Liver, and is very profitably given in
long and hot Agnes, ariling from inflamed Blood
and Choler; it loofens the ‘Belly, and eEevElually
cures the Scurv , Dropiie, Gout, and Kings-Evil.

the quantity of a Drum in the Morning falling, and
lafi at Night going to Bed, it kills Worms in Chile
dren, or elder Peo 1e, provokes Urine powerfully,
and brings down omens Courfes.
XVIH. ThrS irimour Tinffarequapr. It is not
inferior to any iet-Drink which can be given td
fuch as labour under the Scurvy, Gout, Droplie, Pox,
and Kings-Evil, it lingularly purities the‘ Blood after
a Salivation, but it is hell to be given to liich as are
of a cold and moili habit of Body, fat and corpulenr,
and not to fuch as are thin, hollow, and feem to be
emaciated or confurned, it maybe given from a'
Dram to two' Drums, or more, in Ale, Beer, Wine,
or other proper Vehicle. . .
XIX The Add TinIZure of 11911:. It has the Vir-
tues of the Spirituous TinElure, but much more lit
to be given to fuch as are of hot habits of Body, be-
caul'e it cools and refrefhes, it exterminates all ma-
lignity of the Pox, Plague, or Poyfou, land is lingu-
larly good againll' the Bitings of Mad Dogs, Vipers,
and'other venomous Serpents, Ur. it eradicatcs the
Scurvy, Gout, and Kings-Evil, and after an admirable
manner cures Agnes: and Fevers, and kills Worms in
Old or Young. ... ’ ' '
,XX. The Oily Tinll'ure of Hop. As a Topick it
gives eafe in the Gout and Sciatica, and cafes all
pains of the Joints and Limbs coming of cold and
moiliure’, it is an excellent thing againli the Pallie,
being anointed upon the Back Bone, and upon the
parts affetled, giving it inwardly alfo at the lime
time; you may give from ten to twenty, or thirty
drops for a dofe, being drop: into White Sugar, and
then mixed with a Glafs of White Wine, and fo ta<
ken it gives all: in the Srrangury, provokes Urine
and the Terms, and effeEiually cures the Colick, and
cleanfes the Reins, Ureters and Bladder from fmall
Stones, Gravel, Sand, and Tartarous Matter lodging
therein, if the Dofe is doubled or rrebbled, and gi<
