very like to thoie of the Common Ground Pine, but

Flower the Seed follows, which is fgreyilh, greater

IX. The Placer. The firIl grows Wild in Eng-
land chiefly in Kent, not growing in many other
Shires that we know 0 very much about Dortford,
; along to Soutbfr’eer Grovefend, Cobbonr, Rocbejier,
. Horton, and Suttori, and upon Cbatbuni Down, hard
by the Beacon, and half a Mile from Rocbejier, nigh
a Houfe called Seifey’; the other four'are chiefly
nurfed up in Gardens, but grow Wild in Boot, Su-
voy, Genouo, Spain, and Au no. . ,

powerful upon thofe parts, that it is forbidden to
Vomen with Child, for that it is apt to induce
Abortion, or Delivery before the time; it is power-

Joints, as Gouts, Sciatica, Rheumatiiin, Cramps,
Convuliions of the Nerves, Pallies, Falling-Sicknefs,
and other Diliempers of like kind, being ufed both

made with this Herb: ‘ 1.,Pilula Chmupityor Siro-
plicet, Simple Pills of Ground Pine. .They are
made of the Ponder of the Herb, and Mucilage or
Pulp of Figs, andhaveihe Virtues of the Juice,
Ell'ence, and Decoflion,‘ given Morning and Night,
from one Dram to two Drams,‘ wafhing them down
with aDraught of the Decoetion of Ground Pine
in ‘Wine aforementioned; ' 2. Pilulo‘ Cburnepit or
canon" Pills of Ground Pine Compound. all:
