XVI. The Ejente. It has all the former Virtues

vet, Splleen, Reins, and Womb; it is good againli:
the Ye ow Iaundice, and the Griping ains of the
Belly, and being taken to three or four oonfuls in
Vinegar or Wine, it prevails againii the pilepiie or
Fallin -Sicknefs; in eEied up the Womb it brings
away th Birth an Afterbirth, being alfo at the
fame time taken inWardly: given in Red Port Wine
it Iio s an Flux of the Belly.
X II.‘ e Infu ml or Daemon in Wine. It has
all'the Virtues of the Juice and EII‘ence , but mull
be given in larger quantities, as to four, fix, or eight
Ounces: being given Morning and Evening it admi’
. rably warms and Iirengthens a cold, moift, and weak
Stomach, provokes Urine powerfully, and revails
' againli all forts of Pains and Griefs of the Vomb:
if the Decoiiion is made in .Water, it is good for
Women to Bath in whofe Cuurfes are Hopi, as alfo
to eai‘e all forts of Pains and Griefs of mole parts.
XVIIIt The Oil by Infalim. Anointed on the
Herd it enfes the Hendach and Megrim, coming from
a cold Caul‘e, anointed all along the Back Bone, on
the Stomach, and on the Pulfes, it is very eliet‘tual
to take away the linking Fits of Agnes, and thofe
Tremblings which come Eom cold.
- XIX. The Beware It is an extraordinary thing
for curing limple green Wounds, it brings to Digs;
Iiion, cleanfes, dries, and heals after a iingulat mans
net, anointed on the Hzmorrhoids it gives cafe in
the extremity of Anguilh, and in a little time cures
them: . V .
XX. The Cataplafm. The green Leaves made
into a Pultice, by beatingv‘iln a Mortar, 87:. and ap-
plied to any fimple green ound,‘ or Cut, being liril
well walhed or cleanfed, heals it in a very lhort
fpace of time, warms and comforts parts chilled
with cold, and applied to the Forehead is a good
expedient to cure the Frenzy; fo alfo being applied
to the Soles of the Feet, and fo applied, it is fatd
to lie any Flux of the Bowels. . .
XIEI. The Spiritual]: Trillium It is good agamii
Vomiting arid Naufeoufnefs, expels Wind, and come
forts and warms a cold, moiii, and Weak Stomach;
it is good againli Poyfons, the angs of Mad Dogs,
Serpents, and all forts of other Venomous Creatures ,
it cures all forts of Fluxes of the Bowels, whether
they be of Blood or Humors, and IS an extraordi-
nary thing to be taken two, three, or four times a
day in any fit Vehicle, from tvyo to four, or fix
Drums) by fuch as are eEled with the Pallie.
XXII. The Oil) Tinlfure. This ufed as the Info-
