In the Root 1': thick and knobby, divided into Fingcrs,
like tiny: of Pulma Chrilli, of which Ibi: my be
[hid to be a kind. From this Root rife up thick,
fat and fpongy Stalks, frat with broad, fmooth, green
Leaves, like thofe ot' Plantanr, but much longer,
thele aregrowing in order upon the Stalk, even
from the bottomrto the top or beginning of the
S ike of Flowers, growing fmaller as they grow
- higher, and appear nearer to the‘Spike.‘ The Tul't
or S ike of Flowers is large, conlilling of many fmall
ho ed Flowers, of a lbmewhat whitilh or pale
bluth color, fpotted within with deep purple Spots,
the backfides of which Bowers are of :1 Walt! color
