is ve powerful in reprelling it, and for the molt

X. The Ewart. It has all the Virtues of the It.
quid Juice, and indeed more powerful to all the m-
tehtiOns , beiides which, it is an excellent thing to
be ufod Dietetically by all thofe who have com-
pofed Wounds, running Sores, old and putrid Ill-
cers, inveterate Fillula’s, or have a Cachexia, or are
inclmable to the Green-Iicknefs, in which lall (are,

be given either alone of it fell", or mixt with a
glafs of White Port Wine, from one ounce to fix,
every Morning falling, and lalt every Night at
Bed time: Thus taken, it is alfo very profitable
againli continual Pains of the Head, to iiop, dry
up, and confume all thin dil’tillations, which are
apt to fall upon the Lungs, and helps to digell
raw Humors. It is a truly beneficial thing to the
Bowels, and kills Worms in Children.
XI. The Infujian, v‘riDmgHiqnv in Wine. They
have the Virtues of the Juice and ,Effence, but not

to half a"PPt:5 Morning; Noah, and Night. It

taken, viz. about a Week before‘ the time,"rt pro-

XII. .Tbe Fender qftbt Leaver. 5 his a good
Stomatick, and may be taken from half‘a dram, to
two drams, Morning arid Night, in any proper Ve-
hicle. I commend it to fuch as are apt to have the

Itrengthens the Nerves, Head and Brain, and helps
all cold and moill dilhEcElions of thol'e parts. By
the tonitant taking of it, flops and dries up Catarrhs,
and the afEuxes of cold Rhenms to other parts of
the Body; and is very profitable againli an Illt'etev
rate Herd-ach, proceeding from a cold anti moilt
Caufe. Dole one fpoonful Morning and Night, in
a Glal‘s or Sherry, Canary, White Port, or other
Generous Wine.
XVIII. The Add Tinihrt. It is a moli lingular
Stomatick, refilis Crudities and Puttiihttion, and
therefore is very good againll all Putrid, Malign,
‘ and Peliilential Fevers ; it quenches Thirlt, caules
a good Appetite to Food, and helps digeiiion. And
beingvprudently adminillred, it is a -very effec‘lual
Medicament to kill Worms in Children. Bathed
well in, Morning, Noon, and Night, upon places
affezited with the Gout, it 0 us the Pores, attraE‘ts
and draws forth the malign umor, cafes the Pain
to a Miracle, difcuII'es the Tumor, and uickly rea
(ions the Patient to his delired health. hen, it is
taken inwardly, it is to be iven in fome proper
Vehicle, or I ine, to a te ul Acidity , it repref-
fee Vapors from the omb, and is to be taken
Morning, Noon, and Night. . .
XIX. 'Ibe Oily Tinthm It enfes all external
Aches or Pains in any part of the Body whatfoever,
proceeding from a co d and moill Canfe, it takes
away the relaxation of the Nerves, and Mufcles,
prevails wonderqu againii the Paliie, and [hang-
thens the Mufcles, erves, Tendons and Joints, be4
ing weakned throu h Pain, or any anux of Humors.
Butin cafe of the alfie, the Back-bone, from the
Neck to the‘Armr, is daily, Morning and Night, to
be well' anointed therewith, as alfo all the Parts,
which are ali'efted, rubbing and chafing, it in. It
cures the Nerves, being Prickt or Wounded, imme-
diately ealing the Pain, and abating the Tumor;
and in a‘fhort‘ time after heals the Wound. . If it is
taken inwardly from twelve to twenty or thirty
drops, in any Homogene Vehicle, it cures cold and
merit Diliempets of the Head, Breli and Lungs,
and prevails againlt the Head-ach, Megtirrr, Vertigo,
Carus, Lethargy, Apoplexy, Falling-ficknefs, Pallie
of the Head and Tongue, and ether Difeafes oi‘lxie
kind. It alfo Opens Obllrue‘tions of the Reins and
Womb, and is prevalent againll Vapors, and Fits of

or more, in a Glafs of White Port Wine, Morning
and Evening,'it iingular‘ly opens the Urinary Paf-
fages,and powerfully provokes Urine, expelling all
mternatural, or Tartarous Matter out of the Reins,
reters, and Bladder, and is very prevalent againlt
a Sartircr, or Amwma, which is a Drapfe In the

the maligni’ ofthe' Plague or Pelhlenc'e, and the
contagion o ' the S tted Fever, or other infeElions
Difeafes; it is googoalfo againlt the Venom of Ser-
pents, as of the, Viper, Rattle Snake, and others of
that kind, the poifon of Mad-Dogs, for which there
are but few better remedies. It is a Engular thing
againlt-Vomiting, and Iicknefs at Heart, by revi-
ving the Spirits, and Ilrengthening the Parts.

Sugar) it comforts the Head, Brain, and Nerves,
