XII. The liguid fake. It cures internal Ulcers
- of the Lungs : I titppofe it was with the Juice
thereof, that Gerard (as he lbys) cured one Cart-
wright, a Gentleman or" Grays-Inn, who was grie-
v-oully wounded into the Lungs, and that in alhott
time-z In this cafe, it will be the bell way to make
it into a Syrup With Honey. It cleanfes, drys, and
heals old lcers, and foul running Sores and Con-
fohtlares Wounds by walhing them. , ’ ’ '
. Kill. The ernce. It has all the Virtues of the
liquid Juice exalted, and is an excellent thing to" give
inwardly, for the cure of thofe who have lain long
languifhing with old, running Fillula’s, ill-natured
Ulters, and other hubborn and rebellious putrid
bores , wathing them alfo outwardly therewith,'or
are Itrained, or Joints which are weakned, b any
extraordina force, or by being put-out of oint.

it 01?; and clear the Skin. -
XVII. The Ointmenti‘jlt‘heals green? Wounds
admirably .5 'digeits, cleanfes, incarnates and drys
running Sores, and old Ulcers, and is prevalent a-
gainl’t haEtures of the Bones, inducing the, Callus,
and llrengthning‘ the part elicited. It is good
( being mixt with a little Red Precipimte) againlt
Veneteal Ulcers in the Privy Parts of Man or Wo-
1y afterwards healing them up. . . ,1 ,
XVIII. .The Baljarn. 'It cures limple green Wounds
at the firii Intention. But. if they be compofed with
Contuiion, FraE‘tures of the Bone, Ur. It admirably
digells them by a fpeedy maturation, ‘then cleanfes,
and incarnates, afterwards dries and heals them:
Thefame'thing it does to old running Sores, putrid
Ulcers, 'andfiflula’s, (being firib laid open ) and
then duly applied according to Art. I have feen
very few things more revalent againil Sores and
Ulcers of'the ,King’s vii, which after a lingular
