. XVII. 'Ihe iDecoflion of .the Herb and Root in
Wine. This being perfumed with form: Grains of
Ambergtife, is good againlt tholia Swoonings, which
the Greek: all Maintain; as alf'o to open the 0b-
Ilszlions of the Liver, Reins, and Womb.
XVIIIIThe Lotion. It is made of the Leaves
boiled in Milk ot Pellet-drink, and fweetued .a lit-
tle with Hone ; it Sliced againll the forenels 'of
the Throat, a 0 pie ' ' againli the Inflammation,
Swelling, Falling and Excotiation of the llvula ;
Cankets in the Mouth and Gums, and other moilt
and running Sores in thofe parts 5 all which it heals
by Virtue of its ing and binding Quality. .
XIX. 1 The Pan I' of the Seed. Given to one dram
in Wine, with ten ins of Saffron, it opens the
ObltruEtions of the ivet, and helps againlt the yel-
low Jaundice, as Tragu: lit 3, but he advifes that
the Patient after taking 0 it ihould be laid in a
warm Bed, and made to Sweat well thereupon.
