grohtable for fore, inflamed and running Eyes; it

drys, and heals them: And I was was informed by
a very skiltul Chirurgion, that he once cured a In
fluid Lurhlymali: therewith, by injeEling it irr,.with '
a proper Syringe. ' This I am litre of, that it lingu-
latly clmnfes, and drys hollow Ulcers in other parts
of the Body, and difpofes them to an effectual
healing , and drys up moill Scahs, and other break-
ings out like Scurf or Morphew, though of lchg
lianding, if it is amduouil ufed and rapplied’for
fome time. - Taken inward y, from half an ounce to
two ounces at atime, it prevails againli Colds,
Coughs, Hoarfnefs, Wheazings, lhortn‘efs of Breath,
difficulty of Breathing, and other difar’fei‘tions or .

derable time, I have known ir to cure Ulcers of the
Lungs ; thelPatient drinking with it, new Milk
warm, fweetned with double refined Suger, drink-
ing no other, Li uor, and wholly forbearing all

XXX. The Fixed Salt. It is highly Antifebritick
and Diuretick. DiIIolved to one dram inthe Di-
Itilled Water, and fo drank, it carries off the Mor-
binck caufe ofallFevers b Urine, and cleanfes all '
the Urinary parts of Grave Sand, and Tartar, lodg-
ed in them. It is alfo excellent good againlt ‘the
'yellow Jaundice, and all ObilruElions of. the Liver,
Spleen, Reins, and Womb. ,.It dill‘olves Choler in
the Body, and calisgit out by Urine : Take of this

mix and dilrolve. , This cures Cutaneous Di cafes,
‘ahd takes of? Freckles from the Face, if conftantly
ufed tor Ibme time 5 and alfo removes other defor-

. XXXI. TIM Ejmrial Salt. It has all the Virtues
of the Liquid Juice and Efl‘ence, and may be given
in all thofe - cafes from one dram to two or three
drams at a time, in a glafs of generous Wine, Mom-
ing and Evening. It 7 is a great Stomarick, and
Streamer oi: the Blood -, a noble Antifebritick ;' and
kills Worms in Young or Old, being taken for fome
time. It is highly Traumatick, and therefore good
to be taken Dietetically, by fuch as have Wounds ,
and Ulcers about them. . ..
