upon parts troubled with the Gout or Sciatica, and
continued for fome time, pMorning‘ and Evening, it
gives cafe of the Pain, does much good, and in time
removes the Difeafe. . .
- XXII. The S irll. It is Cephalick, Neurotick,
Stomatick, Cor ial, and Alexipharmick: It flops
Vomiting, lirengthens a “’le Stomach, cheats the
Hart, revives the S irits, and is good againlt Faint-
ing and Swooning, apors, and Fits of the Mo-
ther, and preferves being taken in 3 Morning Pali-
ing) from the Infe ion of the Plague, or of the
Spotted, or any other Malign Fever! You may take
a fpoonful or two of it at a time ( if Dulcilied) and
that twice a day, or upon the fpot, if any Paroxyfm
is ptefent : Im's alfo good 'to bathe with, if any
thin like a Gangrene is feared. .
XIII. The Human. Being applied to a‘ cold
Gout, it gives cafe to the Pain, and anointed up-
on the Hemorrhoids, or Piles, it heals and cures
them. , -
XXIV. The Ointment. It is good to anoint Wo- f
mens Brmlls, which are fwoln and ainhil, to-
ceeding either from Cold, or Curdled ilk, of ome
external Violence.
XXV. The Pemry. The green Herb made into
a Pell‘ with Wooll, and put up the Vagina Uteri,
it rovo es theTerms,ealies the pains ofthe Mother,
I ills Vapors 'and Hylterick Fits, and if it is near a
the time of Travel, haltens and facilitates the

XXVI. The Cnapla m. It is made ‘ of the green
Herb, with Lard, Crumbs of, Bread, or Ponder of
Bay-berries: being applied to any part pained with
theGout, it cafes the Pains, abates the Tumor or
Swelling, ,‘and difcufl'ias or draws forththe Humors. '
It mull be continued Morning and Evening for fome ‘
