XVI The Ponder of the Seed. It is Alexipharmick,
comforts the Heart, expels Sadnefs and Melanchol-
ly; attemperates the Blood, alloys the hat Fitsof
Agues‘, encreal‘es Milk in Nurles, and cafes pains
in the Loins, Back and Kidnies. Dofe one dram.
XVI. The Deeoflion of the Root.‘ It ptevailsagainlt
Poifon, and the Plague, and the biting of Vipeis,
and other Venomous Creatures, and is a lingular
good thing (if made with Wine, or Wine and Wa-
ter) to be drank as a Diet Drink by wounded Per-
fons, and fuch as have inveterate, hithy, and run-
ning Ulcers and Fil’tula’s, Ur. ,
XVII. The Ointment or 51%”. They are Vul-
nerary, cure admirably both ounds and Ulcers;
and are of efpecial ufe to be applied to Wounds
made by the bitings of Venomous Creatures, as Vi-
ers, Mad Dogs, (17:. or made with any Poifoned
VVeapon, it extraas the Poifon or Venom, andrin-
duces the healing. . ,
