Patient has roared out Night and Day with the Ve>
hcmency andExtremit of the pain, and has lain
Bedrid for two whole ears together, not being able
to ufe Hand or Foot, or in the leaii help themfelves,
not fo much as to put their Hand to their Mouths,
this Medicament, or Compolition, being given but
five or fix times, has perloflly reflored them, be-
yond all expeaation. I commend it againlt a Rheu-
matifm, as a Compolition which has no equal in
the whole Republick of Medicine.
XVIII. The Elelbmry. 132. Ponder of Blyenie

in powder, afeach two ounce: : Clover, Ginger, in

mix and make an Eletlrmy. It cures the Scurvy,
Dro lie, and Gout; and is’anadmirable thinga-

Vomen, and expels the Dead Child ; and cleanfes
the Stomach, and other Bowels, of Cold, Raw,
Windy, Slimy, Tarta’tous and Griping Humors:
Dofe, in.a Bolus, from one dram to two drums in
the Morning lilting.
XIX. The Ermla.‘ It has the Virtues of the
Juice and EEence, but not altogether f0 violent;
it may be given, fay Authors, from five to ten
grains; but in Itrong Bodies you may give it from
ten grains to twenty : mix it with‘ Honey, the Pulp
of a Prune or Roafted Apple, or fome fuch like
. fublianCe, and fo let it be taken in the Morning:
being mixed with the Dillilled Water or Ellience;
or any other 1‘0 er Wail], it cleanfes the Skin, and
takes away V rin les, Freckles, Lentils, Spots, black
and blew Marks, Tanning; Sun- urning, and the
like; let it be laid upon the Skin, and fuffered to
on.
