== TO OUR READERS! =&-—
A new year has commenced and with its beginning
our new publication the “Kneipp Water Cure Monthly”
presents itself to our friends, followers and the. public in
general. It is an old custom to wish a happy New Year
to one’s friends. We follow this custom with good
cheer and will endeavor to make our “Kneipp Water Cure
Monthly” a messenger of glad tidings of good health to
all (all year round). Good health is most undoubtedly
the foundation for real happiness.
There also is no doubt that it is the wish of every
human being to be the happy owner of sound brains in a
sound body. Unfortunately only very few people know,
how to attain this end, only very few people think it
worth while to study the laws of nature. They wait until
they find themselves at death’s door, they wait until it is
too late to effect a cure, they wait until their system is
poisoned by drugs, they sin against the laws of nature
for years; until nature takes matters in its own hands and
punishes the sinner mercilessly. The laws of nature are
supreme. Every crime against them is severely and
vigorously punished. Therefore it is men’s duty to
study the laws of nature and to learn how to obey them.
An obedience to its laws will produce that what we all
long for, to wit: Sound brains in a sound body.
What shall men do to attain this end?
Where is the road to health and happiness?
Where is the guide who knows this road?
Where is the mentor who will guide us?
The “Kneipp Water Cure Monthly” will be mentor
and guide to all those who need and want health and
happiness. The “Kneipp Water Cure Monthly” will give
advice in regard to all branches of natural healing and
will tell its readers the best way of living according to
the laws of nature. The “Kneipp Water Cure Monthly”
will not be onesided, it will treat all systems alike and
show to its readers where their best points are.
The “Kneipp Water Cure Monthly” will also show to .
its readers the ways and means which the different
branches of natural healing possess to prevent sickness.
It will prove that a great deal of suffering is only due
to the obstinacy of a class of men who are more business-
men than healers of ailments. Mankind is only a part of
nature, and nature provides for everything needed by its
parts, but these parts have to obey nature’s laws and must
Coord 4 ae
only use such means of healing disorders which are pro-
vided by nature for this purpose, to wit: air, light, sun-
heat, water, exercise, rest, massage, gymnastics, diet,
magnetism, electricity and in connection with the dif-
ferent herbs of healing power. Men’s artificial means are
nothing but poisons. The “Kneipp Water Cure Monthly”
will further show, that by means of these simple remedies
the science of natural healing is able to produce good
and lasting results, surer and quicker than any physician
of the old school would be able to do.
‘The time is not far off, when people will look at to-
day’s so-called medical science as the curse of our times
and bless the moment in which men like Sebastian Kneipp
showed to the world the errors of the old way and pointed
out to this same world the only natural road to real
happiness and health.
The “Kneipp Water Cure Morithly” will always be an
advocate of the principles of this great master of natural
healing. “Return to nature” will be our war-cry.
