We appeal to you as one whose valuable and un-
selfish efforts have been of signal and splendid ser-
vice to Ireland’s cause in the past, and we earnestly
appeal to you now to aid us in making this Reception
a triumph long to be remembered. We know you will do
it.
On Sunday evening, September 21st in the Adelphia
Roof Garden, 13th and Chestnut Streets, at 8 o’clock a ™
“meeting of representative people will be held to make
arrangements for the Reception to President DeValera,
on Wednesday, October lst. .
Permit us to express the sincere hope that you
will not fail to attend on this occasion and give us
the benefit of your advice and experience. The eyes
of this country, of Ireland, aye of the world are upon
us; let us now justify the hopes of the Friends of the
Irish Republic everywhere.
