The rich oblation of his vows.
Then joyful socks his distant home,
Though half his wealth he leaves shan
Whether he brave thé ocean’s

‘What has the wanderer’s sighs suppress’d?
‘. What can such lengthen’d toil repay ?—
He bears, close cherish’d in his breast,
A relic fromthe shrine'away.. -
Yot smile‘not thou, nor deem him w
ou many a relic thera may’st find,
Tho rose that faded on the broast, -
“The youthful lover deom’d most fair,—
Wesit not cherish’d, loved, caress’d, ye
With more than all a.misor’s care?

He still may some loved relic wear.
Though yon proud mansion be his lot,

Where past his jocund holiags? ?
“Why do that gallant vetoran’s eyes
Fill, as the glittering more he drawe? ?
The friend who gave it lowly lies
A martyr to his country’s ooo ‘
Age has its joys—mere relics a,

Where Timo’s long shadows deopeet fall,
Memory herself a relic turns!
The brow is calm, though many a line
