NEW DORMITORY ON MEMORIAL
DAY
All Men of Malvern, their families and
friends will have an opportunity to get
together once more at St. Joseph’s-in-the-
Hills on Memorial Day, May 30, to com-
memorate the day by attending the Field

sisting at the dedication of our new dormi-
tory building, and by enjoying informal
sports, with luncheon and supper served al
fresco.
The Solemn Military Field Mass will be

ANOTHER APPEAL TO DELINQUENT
BUILDING FUND SUBSCRIBERS
Good morals means good government and
good citizenship. It is money in the bank,
food on the table, and one‘s own roof over
one's own head.
St. Joseph's-in-the-Hills is the rallying
ground for men, who believe in this prin-
ciple and who show by the practical ap-
plication of it to their own lives, that it is
the guiding motive which spurs them on
to make sacrifices for God and country.
Favorable comments are being made on all
sides regarding the splendid accommodations
now offered to Retreatants at Malvern. A
private room for every Retreatant means
solitude for private meditation upon the
spiritual things of life, and healthful rest
at night, to prepare for the spiritual exer-
cises of the Retreat Schedule.
The improvements already made and those
yet to be made to the Retreat property were
undertaken upon the strength of the sub-
scriptions to the New Building Fund. Many
subscribers have as yet made no payment
whatever on account of their subscriptions,
and as the new building is completed the
oflicers of the League are faced with the
problem of unpaid bills, contracted in good
faith and in the confident expectation that
the money necessary to pay these bills
would now be in the treasury. More than
$12,000 is outstanding in unpaid subscrip-
tions, nearly enough to pay all our bills-
XVe are asking, therefore, speedy and gen-
erous response to our appeal for support and
encouragement in the great work we have
undertaken, in order that we may show our
appreciation of the many SRCTWCGS made
by the builder, Mr. Henry J. Johnson, by
paying him at least :1 portion of the money’
he has advanced out of his own pocket for
our comfort.
The campaign is still on. We need more
subscriptions to make up the sum of $50,000
which we set out to raise. Those Retreat-
ants who have not as yet subscribed are
urged to do so at once in order that every
Retreatant may feel that he has 9. private
and particular interest in St. Joseph's-in-
the-Hills.
