Warsaw-lvangorod
The Russians were driven from the Blame-
Nadarzyn position back to the outer forti-
fications of Warsaw; the armies of Prince
Leopold of Bavaria launched the attack
against the fortress. East of the Vistula.
v. Woyrsch's army made further progress
toward the Warsaw-Ivangorod railway.
Between the Vistula,
the Vieprz and the Bug
During the night the Russians withdrew their
front at almost all points; they were again
defeated along the Novo-Alexandrija-Lem
czna, east of Lenczna, north of Cholm and
Dubienka (on the Bug) line by the pursuing
allied armies. A cossack regiment was routed
between Vladimir, Volynsk and Soltal.
Tui-hey: Caucasus Front
The Turks made further gains at Olti and.
during the pursuit of the fleeing Russians,
occupied Alaschkert. northwest of Karakil-
lissa: thus re-taking possession of the Murad
Valley.
German East Africa
The English-Belgian troops suffered severe
losses during ten days of uninterrupted fight-
ing along the Ssaissi River, cast of Abercom,
in Northern Rhodesia.
Upper Alsace.-
North of Muenster
fighting developed on the Lingekopf and on
the Schratzmaennle.
Eastern Front: Courland- Ithuanla
German cavalry several times defeated Rus-
sian forces on the front southeast of Mitoti-
southeast of Poriieviesh.
Northern Poland
Despite desperate Russian resistance. v.
Scholtz and v. Gallwitz gained further
ground in the direction of the Lomza-Ostrov
and Ostrov-Vyszkov roads.
Warsaw-lvarigorod
The armies of Prince Leopold of Bavaria
pierced'the outer and inner lines of forts of
arfaw. in spite of stubborn resistance by
Russian rearguards. VVhile'the Russians at-
t6mPled'to blow up their fortifications. v.
oeveszs army penetrated into West-Ivan-
gorod and reached the Vistula at all points.
Between the Vistula, the Vieprz and the Bug
Shortly.after midnight. the Russians contin-
ued their retreat to the line south of Michov-

Enemy attacks on the Kreuzberg-Sattel
failed.
Turkey: Caucasus Front
To relieve the defeated left yving. the Rus-
sians atacked between the Black Sea and'the
Araxes, but were repulsed. The enemy was
driven further back northwest of Alaschkert
and north of Karakilissa.
Eastern Front:
Courlancl-Lithuania
Russian cavalry was again defeated along
the front southeast of Mitau-southeast of
Ponievjesh.
Northern Poland
The! Germans made progress south of Lomza.
The Russian position was pierced between
Nasielsk and Serozk. Cermaii airships bom-
barded Bialystok.
Warsaw-Ivangorod
After the capture of all forts, the
troops of Prince Leopold of Bavaria
occupied Warsaw; the Russians re-
treated to Praga, whence they bom-
barded the town.
Von Woyrsch's army captured additional
enemy positions northwest of Ivangorod
Between the Vixtula,
the Vieprz and the Bug
Austro-Hungarian troops defeated the enemy
. northeast of Novo-Alexandriia: northeast of
Lenczna. the attack against the lake district
was launched; German troops stormed a
strongly fortified advanced position at Savin.
Italian Front: Corinthian Frontier
The Austrians gained further ground at
Mount Paralba. on Italian territory.
Adriatic Sea
An Austro-Hungarian submarine torpedoed
and sank the Italian submersible "Nereide"
off the island of Pelagosa.
