appear without the Bounds of the City, either at the King’s Suit, or at the Suit
of any other Complainant. By the whole Tenor of this Patent it appears,
that it was only a Recital and Confirmation of former Liberties and Fran-
chifes granted to the Citizens of Waterford; and the Charter exprelly mentions
the County of Waterford as a diftinft Diltriet from the City.
A’nno 156; Sir Henry Sz'o'ney divided Comzztglot into fix Counties (viz.) Clare,
Golway, Sligo, Mayo, Rofeomnton, and Leitrim: But it is apparent from the
publick Records, that this Province was much more antiently divided into

Henry Sidney-, as into the County of Conouglat and County of Rofeonzmon. Ina

was pleaded, that the F act laid in the Declaration was committed at zttltltlltl”

upon which another venire was awarded to the Sheriff of the County of Co-
nnugbt , who returned, that Altbtrnirn O-Many was not in his County, but in tl1C
County of Rofeommon. So Rot. Pat. 11 Edw. 2. Writs were directed to thc
Sheriffs of Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Tipperary, Limerick, Cork, Connttglot and
